The Wirtschaftsjunioren Hannover e.V. is one of around 210 member circles in Germany and consists of young executives and entrepreneurs between the ages of 20 and 40. As the “voice of young business,” the Wirtschaftsjunioren actively strengthen and shape their local communities, ensuring that future generations also have a place worth living and working in.
The Wirtschaftsjunioren are well known within the i-unit group, which has been active as a mid-sized management consultancy in Hanover for over 10 years, thanks to their diverse projects in Hanover and other cities. Currently, with Marvin Götz, an employee of i-strategy even serves on the board of the Hannover Wirtschaftsjunioren. As part of its monthly association meeting, the group invited young executives and entrepreneurs to join for an exchange and presented itself to the members.
There was certainly plenty to discuss. Current crises such as Russia’s war against Ukraine, the ongoing aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic, or high inflation rates and rising interest rates were just some of the key topics. In addition, megatrends such as digitalization, sustainable business practices, and demographic change present significant challenges for companies. The i-unit group addresses these challenges with the broad expertise within its own companies, combined with a reliable and sustainably grown network. Together, we continued discussing the current economic issues for a long time and benefitted from various suggestions and ideas.
We may not have developed an all-encompassing solution to every challenge that evening, but a few important takeaways remained:
- Complex and dynamic challenges can only be managed holistically – economically, ecologically, and socially – and through joint efforts.
- A strong and resilient network can achieve more than any individual.
- Dialogue on current challenges and opportunities is essential to develop new solutions and enable entrepreneurial success.
We are already looking forward to seeing the young executives and entrepreneurs again at the next opportunity.
