In May 2019, i-capital successfully completed the sale of Wheelworld GmbH to entrepreneur Thomas Mögelin as part of a management buy-in via TMH GmbH.
Wheelworld GmbH was founded in 2007 and, with its two wheel brands Wheelworld and Axxion, has become one of the market-leading specialists in the development, design, and distribution of light alloy wheels for passenger cars.
“We were looking for a successor for our company and are now very happy that Mr. Mögelin will continue to run the company in line with our vision and in the interests of our employees at the Ilsenburg site,” explains Rolf Bene, former shareholder of Wheelworld GmbH.
“You can expect us to continue our strategy. In addition to our well-known and successful wheel families, we will be able to present our customers with further new designs this year. In doing so, we will of course continue to focus on high product quality and attractive pricing,” said Thomas Mögelin at a staff meeting.
The transaction was accompanied by i-capital and the i-unit group, as well as legally by the law firms Göhmann Rechtsanwälte and active Law.
