The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia has extended the funding program Mittelstand Innovativ & Digital (MID) to MID-Plus until June 30, 2021, in response to the economic impact of the Corona pandemic.
Funding for Digitalization Projects
Through the included MID-Digitalization voucher, companies can receive grants of up to €15,000 for the development of intelligent and digital products, services, and production processes. Examples include:
- Intelligent applications and software to support trade, services, and crafts
- Digital solutions for networking machines, systems, and production processes
- Digitalization in automation and control technology
- Applications in healthcare (eHealth)
- Smart home solutions
This funding primarily targets back-end implementation activities.
Funding for Digitalized Consulting & Training
MID-Plus also supports the shift of previously in-person services (consulting, training, and further education) to digital formats. Eligible programs include:
- Product training
- Process training
- Advanced training seminars
- Complaint handling
- Patient education
- Sports / fitness programs
